Indicorps Leadership Transition: Dev Tayde Assumes the Role of Executive Director in August 2010
Indicorps’ veteran Dev Tayde assumes responsibility as Executive Director from Roopal Shah, effective August 2010. Dev joined Indicorps in January 2006 and has demonstrated his versatility through project development, workshop leadership, fellowship support, and human resource management. Prior to joining Indicorps, Dev earned his Masters of Social Work and gained field experience with Shelter Associates and Akanksha. Dev also co-founded nonprofits Jagruti and Down To Earth. We are confident in Dev’s ability to chart the Indicorps’ future as we embark on our second decade of encouraging Indians around the world to actively participate in India’s progress.
Roopal will join the Indicorps board of directors and will continue to provide responsible stewardship and strategic guidance of all Indicorps programs. This year’s changing of the guard punctuates several Indicorps’ milestones: the successful completion of our 10th fellowship class, great strides at Volunteer Ahmedabad and Ahmedabad Ultimate, a successful pilot of the Young Professionals Initiative, ground testing of Seniorcorps, and the continuing engagement of global alumni.
We are appreciative of the entire Indicorps community for their ongoing investment in realizing the vision set forth and driven by Indicorps co-founders Anand, Sonal, and Roopal Shah. The Indicorps board and staff are committed to carrying forward the mission of engaging talented Indians from across the globe to tackle India’s most pressing challenges, and of cultivating socially conscious leaders with the character, knowledge, commitment, and vision to transform India and the world. Thank you for your sustained engagement and support as Indicorps continues to promote positive change through principled leadership and collective action.
